Crafted for the iOS mimics both Minecraft and Terraria

mzl.pgtyzmrl.320x480-75As gamers anxiously await the arrival of Minecraft for the iOS, other developers have felt the need to push out as many copies of Minecraft as possible. However, the newly released Crafted takes the cake for hilarious block building rip-offs.

A lot of the Minecraft knock offs available are mostly 3D rips of the games classic version. However, Crafted, from developer Dominik Pickl, takes a different route. Merging Minecraft and Terraria into one interesting experience. Crafted features a 2D world, like Terraria, however takes most of its features from Minecraft. While GamerGaia was unable to find a working link to the developers' blog, sources at IGN say that Pickl plans on incorporating more and more features found in Minecraft (without ever actually mentioning the title Minecraft). The features currently included in Crafted mimic Minecraft to an almost embarrassing degree.

Needless to say however, it’s unlikely that Crafted will be able to stay afloat in the app store for long. The game sports some art work that is pretty much directly copied from Minecraft and essentially is Minecraft in 2D mobile form. Most likely the game will be taken down shortly on account of the obvious plagerism found throughout the game, be it in the block style or in the interfaces. At the time of this writing we have not been able to get into contact with Notch (creator of Minecraft) for any comments in regards to Crafted.
